Background
San Martín Group, an Argentine logistics operator with over 45 years of experience, has operations across all 23 provinces of Argentina, a fleet of 130 units, five owned branches, and more than 50 B2B clients in sectors such as mining, automotive, electronics, agribusiness, and mass consumption.
Faced with an increasingly demanding market, the company identified the need to demonstrate its performance in sustainability, safety, governance, and risk management under internationally recognized standards.
With a sustainability strategy based on emissions reduction, implementation of ISO management systems, strengthening of road safety, and measurement of environmental indicators, San Martín Group decided to anticipate its clients’ requirements and proactively register with Achilles.
From fragmented document management to standardized prequalification
One of San Martín Group’s main challenges was managing information requested by its clients. Insurance, permits, fleet documentation, financial and corporate information had to be submitted through different platforms, formats, and evaluation processes; this generated duplication of efforts, multiple document exchanges, and a significant administrative burden.
With its incorporation into Achilles in June 2026, the organization succeeded in centralizing and standardizing its organizational information, supporting it through an independent document verification process. The evaluation not only enabled the company to demonstrate its capabilities to potential buyers, but also to obtain an objective view of its performance in Environment, Social, Governance, and Financial Strength, identifying concrete strengths and improvement opportunities.
Results: greater efficiency, credibility, and differentiation
The evaluation enabled the company to obtain a verified overall score of 74/100, 96/100 in financial strength, and 4 out of 5 stars in sustainability, providing an objective diagnosis to guide its next steps.
Based on this evaluation, the company identified systematic measurement of its environmental performance, particularly its carbon footprint, as one of its main improvement opportunities. In addition to achieving:

The partnership with Achilles is part of San Martín Group’s growth strategy and its objective to establish itself as a reference logistics operator for lithium and copper projects in Argentina.
Among its upcoming objectives are achieving the fifth star in sustainability, advancing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 39001 certifications, and strengthening the measurement of its carbon footprint. In addition to continuing to measure its progress, strengthening its channels to connect with major buyers, and prioritizing anticipation of new market requirements.
