We are delighted to announce UVDB major milestone: 30 years of partnership between the UVDB and Achilles.
Since 1996, the UVDB has stood as one of the longest running, collaboratively governed supplier pre-qualification communities in the UK utilities sector. This anniversary reflects the strength of our partnership, the trust placed in UVDB by buyers and suppliers, and the way the system has continuously evolved alongside regulatory and industry change.
Over the past three decades, the UVDB has:
- Supported transparent, compliant and efficient procurement across the utilities sector
- Maintained a stable, buyer-led governance model through the Steering Group
- Adapted to major regulatory frameworks, from early utility procurement rules through to UCR 2016 and now the Procurement Act 2023
- Provided a genuinely community-driven approach to supplier qualification and assurance
We are honoured to celebrate this shared achievement and look ahead to the next chapter.
As the utilities sector continues to evolve through digital transformation, sustainability commitments and new procurement requirements, UVDB remains committed to supporting buyers and suppliers with a trusted, industry-led approach to supplier qualification and assurance.
Together with UVDB, Achilles looks forward to building on 30 years of success and continuing to support a resilient and responsible utilities supply chain for many years to come.
