About the speakers

Jason Kaplan: Director and Commodity Analyst, Commodity Analysis and Insight Ltd

Jason has been analysing commodity markets and forecasting developments for over 15 years. He combines a keen understanding of commodities, the commercial drivers of companies along the supply-chain and the effects of government policies to predict how markets will develop. Previously, he worked for world renowned companies, including CRU, Metal Bulletin Research, and IHS Markit, where he was responsible for commodity analysis of metals in Europe.

He’s presented on economic developments, risk mitigation and the effects of trade in conferences around the world. He has been widely quoted in national newspapers, trade papers and interviewed on TV. Jason has an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, and a BSc and MSc in engineering from Brunel University in the UK.

Katie Tamblin: Chief Product Officer, Achilles Information Ltd

Katie has over 15 years’ experience supporting supply chain professionals with data driven insights. Before joining Achilles, Katie spent over a decade managing supply chain solutions for IHS Markit, delivering supply chain efficiency through applied economic forecasting.  Through this work, Katie achieved her MCIPS from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and remains an active participant in the CIPS network.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Economics from Wake Forest University, and an MPP in International and Environmental Policy from Georgetown University.
