In 2021, the Welsh Government unveiled plans that support a 10-year vision to develop infrastructure that can help foster a greener, fairer and more prosperous country. Backed by a £29.9bn investment scheme, the Wales Infrastructure Investment Strategy is deep rooted in delivering a sustainable future – with a clear focus on achieving net zero carbon and a greener future.

The opportunities for growth and development are ambitious and vast. The pipeline of projects available cover both public and private sector and include transport, energy, housing, education, regeneration and health and social care. Whilst the opportunities are open to all, it’s clear that the Welsh Government are keen to see procurement teams focus on adopting responsible and sustainable practices that help to tackle environmental challenges.

Join our 1-day event to hear from key stakeholders across the infrastructure industry. Learn more about how the emphasis on sustainability will shape the projects and procurement processes across the country and how suppliers can provide the right sustainability credentials to be involved.

Why attend?

Developing a sustainable supply chain is key to the future of the planet and the objectives of Wales. Attending the event will give you invaluable insight into what a sustainable supply chain looks like and how to demonstrate your sustainability credentials to be involved in key projects like:

  • More than £1.9bn to transform and maintain the NHS estate;
  • £2bn invested in housing, delivering more than 20,000 affordable homes; and
  • £1.3bn on supporting rail services and delivering rail infrastructure improvements.
