Human rights due diligence is a way for businesses to proactively manage potential and actual adverse human rights impacts with which they are involved. Businesses should identify and assess risks by geographic context, sector and relationships throughout their own activities and their supply chain. The aim of the human rights due diligence is to prevent from adverse impacts on people. Join our webinar to learn about human rights due diligence legislation being introduced in Europe and how changes may impact procurement professionals globally. In this webinar, we will analyse the requirements of new, national legislation requirements in Norway and Germany as well as the wider European Union. In addition, we will also consider how changes might impact the recent reforms to public procurement.

Speaker

Adam Whitfield, Head of Assurance Strategy at Achilles, has over 10 years of management system and site audit experience having visited companies globally on behalf of our customers in a variety of sectors. Over the past four years Adam has supported the development and implementation of our Ethical Sourcing and Ethical Business Programme. As well as auditing experience Adam is responsible for the implementation of global management system processes against international standards for Achilles, and is passionate about using management system standards to drive continual improvement.
