In these unprecedented times there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the procurement of supplies and services for both the Public and Utility Sector. This live webinar delivered by Professor Sue Arrowsmith will provide some clarity regarding COVID-19, Brexit and some recent key Case Law.
Sue Arrowsmith QC (Hon) is Professor of Public Procurement Law and Policy at the University of Nottingham, where she is also Director of the Public Procurement Research Group and of the postgraduate Executive programme (distance learning) in Public Procurement Law and Policy. She is a member of the Government’s Procurement Transformation Advisory Committee, advising on the post-Brexit reform of the Procurement Regulations, and also of the Department of Trade’s Expert Trade Advisory Group, which is advising on the procurement aspects of trade negotiations with non-EU countries.
Sue’s publications have been extensively cited by courts and legislators and in 2018 her book The Law of Public and Utilities Procurement was formally recognised by the High Court as the leading academic text and as authoritative for the courts. In 2007 she was awarded the CIPS Swinbank Medal for thought innovation in purchasing and supply.
This webinar is designed to provide delegates with guidance regarding the uncertainty posed by COVID-19 and the regulatory framework of EU Rules and the ongoing ambiguity posed by Brexit.
This webinar will enable delegates to have a clearer vision of the legal requirements and the practical process that should be undertaken to ensure the procurement rules are not violated.
