Achilles was established in Norway in 1990, and our origins continue to influence how we operate today. Rooted in the values of Scandinavian society, our approach is shaped by janteloven — the idea that the needs of the collective outweigh those of the individual. This principle sits at the heart of the Achilles model: collaborative, transparent, and built for shared benefit.
Originally created to help Norway’s offshore oil and gas industry meet health and safety standards more efficiently, Achilles introduced the “network effect” to enable buyers and suppliers to work together through a single platform to reduce duplication, improve compliance, and drive mutual value.
