This is a half-day course designed to analyse and provide delegates with an understanding of the proposals in the latest version of the Procurement Bill for the reform of Regulated Procurement Law. The course will address Procedures, Open Contracting, changes to exclusions, selection and award criteria. The course will also address treatment modifications to concluded contracts and proposed changes to Procurement tools such as Frameworks and the introduction of Dynamic Markets, the place of DPSs and Qualification Systems.
The course covers not just the general public sector but also the impact on the utilities sector as well as differences between the other special regime contracts of concessions, light touch and Defence and Security contracts, as well as differences in the application of the proposed rules to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
This course is intended for procurement practitioners, contract managers, finance and other operational stakeholders, who wish to understand how the proposed changes may impact on the conduct of future Public Procurement.
Delegates will understand the draft legislation in the latest version of the Procurement Bill and how these proposals will shape the future of Public Procurement. Delegates will have an appreciation of the Government’s visions to speed up and simplify procurement processes, place value for money at their heart, and unleash opportunities for all businesses.
