New Chairman appointed for Achilles Repro steering group – Naturgy to take over from Enagas

Achilles Repro, the utility industry pre-qualification system used by over 40 organisations within the utilities sector in Southern Europe, has appointed a new Chairman to the organisational steering group. The new Chairman is Francesc Aixelà, Subdirector Corporativo de Logística y Calidad de Proveedores de Naturgy.  A member of Repro since 1998, Naturgy has a full supplier qualification model based on the Repro community.

Over the last two years the Chairmanship has been held by representatives from Enagas, Hector Tajahuerce / Agustín Amores, and during this time there has been significant progress. We would like to thank Enagas (Hector Tajahuerce / Agustín Amores) for all the time dedicated to these almost two years of Presidency, as well as to Naturgy (Francesc Aixela) for accepting this new challenge.

This appointment comes at an important time for the Achilles Repro group and the wider utilities market. The new Chairman will oversee changes to the pre-qualification system including:

• Introducing a new compliance section, which will incorporate questions around Legal Complianceybersecurity and Privacy.
• Implementing a Thomson Reuters supplier screening tool
• Introducing extensive Achilles Insights to the Repro community
• A review of the Supplier registration process to ensure it is a simple and straightforward as possible
