In the event that the UK leaves the EU on 31st October without a Deal, the UK will no longer be a part of the EU Customs Union and will therefore be treated as a 3rd Country in relation to trade.
Therefore, from 1st November 2019 all goods moving across the UK / EU border will need to file appropriate customs declarations and follow required processes. Jaguar Land Rover expects all of its suppliers to have prepared for such eventuality and requires suppliers to confirm as such.
JLR would like to remind the Supplier that supply of the Goods shall at all times remain pursuant to the Production Purchasing Global Terms and Conditions (“PPGTCs”), and the Supplier remains responsible for Supply of the Goods strictly in accordance with such terms. As such, any request by JLR for the Supplier to confirm that they are ready for Brexit is made for information purposes only, and is not, and shall not be considered as, as waiver or amendment to the PPGTCs, or the Supplier’s responsibilities thereunder.
