The Regulated Procurement Academy is designed to improve your understanding of the Procurement Principles associated with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016 to how they translate into legislation and applying them in practice.

Who should attend?
The training is designed to provide procurement practitioners with a level of knowledge that ensures full understanding of the complexities of regulated procurement legislation. This training is appropriate for procurement practitioners who are at the beginning of their career or those more experienced who would like to refresh their knowledge.
Agenda
The Regulated Procurement Academy modules incorporate 6 full days, with open courses taking 6 months to complete and in-house courses timetabled to suit an organisations own requirements. Each Academy will be delivered by one of our experienced trainers, all with a wealth of knowledge in regulated procurement legislation and practitioner knowledge.
Our team consists of CIPS qualified practitioners and Master degree graduates in Procurement and Procurement Law.
Our courses are delivered as interactive class room based sessions with case studies, scenarios and examples of relevant case law. They are all supported by the Achilles procurement toolkit THEMiS, a web-based regulated procurement encyclopaedia, providing guidance, case law, consolidated legislation and the function to ask specific regulated related procurement questions which will be accessible for the duration of the academy.
Over the course of 6 months, we will cover:
- Module 1 – Understanding the regulated procurement concept – 11 October 23
- Module 2 – Understanding our markets and creating notices in Find a Tender – 8 November 23
- Module 3 – Selection and award – 13 December 23
- Module 4 – Framework agreements and dynamic purchasing systems – 23 January 24
- Module 5 – Sustainability and remedies – 21 February 24
- Module 6 – The business game – 20 March 24
