The Link-up scheme is the UK rail industry’s only common supplier registration, qualification and audit scheme used by the majority of the rail industry - and used extensively throughout these organisations in procurement, engineering, safety, environment and quality professionals.  It enables rail organisations to comply with the requirements of Railway Group Standards GM/RT 2450, the standard for Qualification of Supplier of Safety Critical Engineering Products and Services.

Some members of Link-up are also required to comply with EC Procurement Legislation in accordance with the Utilities Directive 93/38/EEC – Achilles publishes a Qualification System Notice (QSN) quarterly in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) that enables members to source suppliers directly from Link-up.
