Link-up is the UK rail industry supplier registration and qualification scheme. To date more than 3000 suppliers and contractors are registered on the Link-up scheme, and over 1500 of these are also participating in the Link-up Audit supplier assessment scheme (previously know as Proof) for products and services deemed critical to safety.

The Link-up scheme has three clear objectives:
- To provide a single shared qualification process for the rail community
- To reduce duplication, administrative effort and to be recognised as efficient and cost-effective
- To offer a fair, open and transparent process and supports compliance with EC Procurement Legislation.
Link-up is primarily used to source and qualify suppliers in the rail industry in relation to a specific contract or tender to be awarded, by using the available criteria selection tools to create list(s) of suppliers for further enquiry or tender. Achilles also provides additional support with sourcing suppliers for specific contracts through the Link-up ‘Select’ service, additional details of which are available upon request. Read more |
In addition, the second stage Link-up Audit process (previously Proof) takes the supplier’s qualification information a stage further by providing a common auditing process to validate a suppliers information regarding their chosen product and service footprint. Read more
