Some of the principal Colombian companies operating in areas such as electricity, gas, oil, and telecommunications, with the objective of having a registration tool to register effectively their suppliers and vendors, have agreed to establish a common system the Registro de Proveedores RePro. This system is open to participation from all companies operating in similar areas depending on the works; products and services demanded and is continually updated, objective, and non-discriminatory. In this common register system, Subscribers have access to a complete and updated data based on the annual presentation sent by every supplier via a simple electronic questionnaire.
RePro is a low cost system that allows companies in the electricity; gas, oil, water and telecomunications sector the registration of their suppliers in a structured, uniform and effective way. It has been designed to improve the information that companies have of their suppliers, avoiding the necessity to increase administrative tasks, or manpower.
