Achilles was gold sponsor of “11º Congreso de compras 2010”, the event organized by International Business Communications and Informa, where key members of procurement departments from the biggest companies meet every year in Brasil.
The conference was on January 27th and 28th in the Holiday Inn Parque Anhembi, San Pablo, Brasil, and was follow by two workshops on January 29th.
During the second day, Jorge Heras, Achilles Latin America General Manager, lectured about the Achilles vision regarding the efficiency and knowledge management on the procurement process. During the presentation, he talked about the global/local strategy in the supply chain, the construction of global, regional and local communities by industrial sectors and how to improve the efficiency of the supply chain having several sources of information.
The congress is organized annually since 1999 and is a key event for strategic members of procurement departments.
