DONG Energy A/S headquartered in Fredericia (Denmark) belongs to the leading utilities in Northern Europe and is also represented with its subsidiary DONG Energy Sales GmbH (www.dongenergy.de) in Germany. The current project “power plants Greifswald” as well as the necessary verification/pre-qualification of all involved suppliers were the crucial factor for the Danish utility’s decision to join the community of utilities in Germany, Eastern and Central Europe. DONG Energy will therefore use “connexio” from May 2008.
As a matter of fact the pre-qualification of suppliers executed by Achilles is nothing new for DONG Energy. In terms of verification and pre-qualification the Danish utility has already been counting on “Sellihca” (supplier information system for the Nordic Utilities) and “JQS” (supplier information system of the Nordic Oil and Gas Industry) for several years.
Project “Power Plants Greifswald”
The Danish Utility plans the construction and operation of a hard coal-fired power station in the industrial area Lubminer Heide (Germany) - two block-unit power stations (each with a power of 800 MW). Once the authorization process is closed the utility will start with the construction of the plant which is worth 2 billion Euros at the end of 2008. The first plant can become operative mid 2012 and the second by the end of 2012.

In connection with the project “power plants Greifswald” many suppliers with several different products and/or services are required. DONG Energy’s inquiries will be published in accordance to EU procurement legislation; but if you are interested in a co-operation with DONG Energy you are hereby invited to register with “Connexio” to become a pre-qualified supplier; more information about Connexio can be found HERE.
