The Asia Pacific Utilities Group (APUG) is a network of Utility Procurement Managers who collaborate on supply chain management activities in the Asia Pacific region.
APUG’s central Supplier Management System enables utility buyers to source and assess suppliers for future business opportunities. The central collection and on-line access to supplier information reduces the administrative cost and increases market visibility for both the utility companies and their suppliers.
The APUG network and Project Working Groups enable the utilities to assess their current procurement practices, exchange knowledge and share in the development of solutions to common issues facing the industry. Working together on these initiatives through APUG helps companies to identify and introduce performance improvements and drive greater efficiencies in their procurement processes.
APUG is part of a Global Network of more than 180 buying organisations and over 16,000 suppliers to the utility industry worldwide. Bringing together seven regional utility groups supported by Achilles Information, buyers and suppliers are able to access the worldwide utility market.
